PRODUCT INFORMATION
Many of this year's fruit crops are ripening several weeks early due to the hot, humid weather conditions. Please check the list below for availability on the fruit crop you are interested in.
Red, Yellow and Purple Raspberries are available now for pick your own.
Black Raspberries are finished for 2010. Next year's crop will be ripe around mid-June.
Blackberries are completed for the 2010. They were ripe extremely early this year.
Strawberries are finished for 2010. Next years crop will be ripe around Memorial Day.
2010 Seasonal Hours
STOKES FARM WILL BE CLOSED TUESDAY, JULY 27 FOR FIELD MAINTENANCE.
June Hours:
Stokes Farm is open 7 days a week from 8am until dark.
Mid-July through October:
Stokes Farm is open Monday-Friday 4pm-8pm and Saturday from 8am-4pm. Closed on Sunday.
Additional Information
We do our best to make picking fruit an easy and enjoyable experience for your whole family.
- Please go to the white farmhouse with the green roof at 2882 Center Road to receive supplies and directions to the appropriate field. Disposable containers to pick into are provided for our customers at no cost.
- Restroom is centrally located.
- The strawberry fields have straw between the rows. Raspberry fields have wide mowed grass aisle ways between rows.
- You are welcome to bring a blanket and picnic lunch or dinner to enjoy by our pond.
- Cold bottles of water are available for sale.
- Children are welcome on our farm.
- Cash or check are the preferred method of payment. Because we do not have electrical lines or phone lines out near our fields, we do not accept credit cards. We apologize for any incovenience this may cause.
SAFE FRUIT
The use of pesticides on fruit crops has been a highly publized media topic. Stokes Farm does not use organophosphates on our strawberries, raspberries, blackberries or any other crop grown on this farm. Nutritional safety is an upmost priority.
